About Florafor.

Florafor is a design studio named eponymously after a fictional genus of imaginary creatures. The studio explores the elegance of materials sourced from natural origins to create art and décor for contemporary homes. Our materials-first philosophy yields truly distinctive works that are playful and quirky. Florafor products are designed and assembled in limited quantities in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Florafor was established by Nicholas Lin, PhD in 2023. Nick is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working between the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia. As a biotechnologist, he has spent more than 12 years in the research laboratory investigating biological materials and biofabrication techniques for the applied sciences.
